The Old Girls
Association Inc.
The Old Girls Association was founded in 1899, and incorporated in 1997. The stained glass window (pictured) commemorates the centenary of the
Association and sits above the western passage to the Dining Room.
The objectives of the Old Girls Association are:
- To maintain a connection between past students and the School and to promote fellowship amongst past students.
- To maintain an interest in the welfare of the School.
The Committee meets monthly, and contributes actively to the School in a variety of ways. A foundation sum of $10,000 was gifted towards the establishment of the Brisbane Girls Grammar Scholarship in 2003.This scholarship is for a direct relative of a past student who may otherwise not have the opportunity to attend the School. In 2004 the Old Girls Association provided a sponsorship of $1,000 to the International Young Physicist Tournament hosted by Brisbane Girls Grammar School.
