Scholarships
Brisbane Girls Grammar School is academically non-selective and may offer a bursary each year to a student at entry into Year 8. Awarded on the basis of overall merit and financial need, the recipient may be entitled to either part or full fee remission. Only families who would otherwise experience difficulties in paying their daughter’s tuition fees should apply.
The Maria Sulima Bursary
In 1993 the late Dr Maria Sulima bequeathed funds to Brisbane Girls Grammar School to provide a bursary for young women whose families would otherwise not be able to afford tuition fees at the School.
Dr Sulima was adamant that the girls selected would have the character, talent and academic ability which would allow them to take full advantage of the many opportunities offered to them by the School.
This bursary is strictly means-tested. The families of girls who are short-listed will be required to provide detailed financial records include tax returns for external assessment.
