Grammar Women Event: Leaders and Game Changers

Grammar Women: Leaders and Game Changers brings together Jessica Rudd (2000) and Libby Amelia (2001), two Grammar Women who have followed non-traditional professional pathways and established successful careers in fiercely competitive and emerging markets. For those passionate about entrepreneurship and business, this event provides an opportunity to hear from, and engage with, two notable leaders as they discuss how to remain relevant in global markets in today’s landscape.

Jessica Rudd (2000) 
Entrepreneur, columnist and media commentator

Jessica began her career as a media and IP lawyer, before realising the potential of the lucrative online shopping market in China. In 2015, Jessica launched her virtual shopfront—Jessica’s Suitcase—selling organic Australian mother and baby supplies.

In 2016, Jessica was appointed Australia and New Zealand Lifestyle Ambassador for Alibaba, and two years later, she sold Jessica’s Suitcase to eCargo Holdings.

Jessica is currently an ambassador for MS Research Australia, a board member of the Australian Agricultural Company, and a member of the Griffith University Council.

Libby Amelia (2001)
Managing Director for Louis Vuitton Oceania

Managing Director (Oceania) at Louis Vuitton, Libby Amelia oversees all Australia and New Zealand operations for the French fashion house and luxury goods retailer.

Libby joined Louis Vuitton from Sephora, where she held the position of Australia and New Zealand General Manager. During her time in this role, Libby launched Sephora’s online shopping platform across both markets. Prior to this, Libby was based in Singapore as Sephora’s Regional Director for Business Development, and was instrumental in launching the beauty product giant into several South-East Asia countries, including Indonesia, Thailand and India.
