Grammar Women global gatherings
Singapore | London | Paris | New York | San Francisco
From the classroom to the wider community, Grammar Women have made their mark in countless ways: as teachers, carers, volunteers, creatives, professionals and pioneers. We celebrate those who paved the way—including Australia’s first female university professor, first female architect in Queensland, first female radio broadcaster in Queensland, the nation's first Commonwealth Chief Nurse, first female stockbroker, and first female Air Commodore in the Australian Defence Force—while honouring the quieter legacies lived every day. We also know many of you have travelled and relocated for study, career opportunities and your own personal interests and adventures across the world.
From our modest beginnings in a house on George Street with around 40 students, to a globally connected alumnae network nearly 25 000 strong, this sesquicentenary year is a time to honour our pioneering past, reflect on our journey and look ahead with confidence.
As part of these historic celebrations, we are delighted to invite Grammar Women living or visiting abroad to join us at a special series of international reunions hosted in the following five vibrant global cities—Singapore, London, Paris, San Francisco and New York.
These events are a unique and special addition to our 150 year commemorations. They are welcoming gatherings that focus on conversation, connection, and shared pride in our School.
Let us come together—across oceans and time zones—to celebrate 150 years of Brisbane Girls Grammar School.
Once a Grammar Girl, always a Grammar Girl.
If you live in, or plan to visit, any of the cities listed below, we warmly invite you to save the date. Further details about each of these events will be shared soon. Please also help us spread the word to fellow Grammar Women Grammar Women in your networks.
