Grammar Women

Grammar Women and Queensland Symphony Orchestra

We look forward to welcoming you to the next event in the School’s Grammar Women series—Alondra de la Parra in Conversation with Jacinda Euler.

In 2018, Girls Grammar announced a unique Education Partnership with Queensland Symphony Orchestra—bringing together two of Queensland’s most iconic institutions—to provide students with the extraordinary opportunity to be mentored by, and perform with, some of Australia’s finest musicians.

In celebration of this Partnership, Principal, Ms Jacinda Euler, invites you to join her in conversation with internationally renowned conductor, and Queensland Symphony Orchestra Music Director, Ms Alonda de la Parra.

The event will be followed by a cocktail reception on the Terrace of the ABC Building, which offers sweeping views of the Brisbane city skyline.

As part of the Education Partnership, Queensland Symphony Orchestra have offered all Girls Grammar families discounted tickets to their upcoming concert this Saturday. The concert, Bernstein at 100, will celebrate the music of Leonard Bernstein, a composer, conductor, educator, musician, cultural ambassador and humanitarian on what would have been his 100th birthday.

Music Director, Ms Alondra de le Parra, has chosen to acknowledge this event with four of Bernstein’s most wonderful works: the Oscar nominated Symphonic Suite from On the Waterfront; Chichester Psalms, which merges Bernstein’s Broadway panache with classical style; the Age of Anxiety; and the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.
