Last Thursday, Year 11 German students went to the Brisbane German Club for dinner—a tradition for our Year 11 German students. The evening is a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy the authentic German atmosphere and traditional home style dishes such as sauerkraut, German sausages, schnitzel and pork knuckle.
Girls enjoyed fantastic German entertainment, including the ‘Schuhplattler’, a traditional German Bavarian folk dance. It brought back memories as students have previously learned this dance in class as part of their exposure to German culture and traditions. A great time was had by all.
