Individual Sport performances commended

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been fortunate to witness some incredible personal performances from our amazing Year 7 Lilley students. Melody Chambers (7L) and Sophia Feng (7L) have been unstoppable, delivering outstanding national and international performances. 

Melody was part of the Queensland State Women’s team at the National Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Gold Coast from July 8 to 9—her performances for Level 8 Under were outstanding.

• All Around Individual - Gold
• Beam—Silver
• Vault—Silver 
• Floor—Silver
• Bars—Bronze

Sofia showcased her talent at the Oceania Figure Skating competition in Melbourne in May, competing against athletes from Taipei, Singapore, Thailand, and New Zealand. Despite the competition, she performed brilliantly, even executing some new tricks she had mastered this year. Her performance earned her a Silver Medal in the Basic Novice Girls—Free Skating competition.
