Unveiling the new Music Honour Boards
On Wednesday 21 May, as part of the School’s Sesquicentenary celebration, we revered our past pupils and staff of music with the installation of two new honour boards. Winners of the Wight Medal presented from 1891 to the current day and the RT and AE Jefferies Bursary presented from 1986 to current day, are now celebrated with the honour boards situated in the Cherrell Hirst Creative Arts Centre.
Following the unveiling of the honour boards, this year’s finalists from the Instrumental and Vocal competitions competed for the prestigious RT and Anne Etheldreda Jefferies Bursary. This bursary is awarded to the most promising student in the School for the advancement of music.
