Visual Art Department—2025 Term 3 Art Walk
We invite you to view the exhibition, The Unbroken Spirit of the Kalkadoons, at the State Library of Queensland. The exhibition is a tribute to the Kalkadoon people’s resilience and the enduring power of culture to heal both the land and its people.
Colleen Sam, a Kalkadoon (Kalkadunga) woman and visual artist, and her mother, Aunty Ena Sam, share a powerful story of the Kalkadoon people’s unwavering strength and survival.
After the exhibition we will head across to GOMA to see the Creative Generation 2025 Excellence Awards in Visual Art. One of our Year 12 Art students from 2024, Evie Kolff van Oosterwijk, is featured in the exhibition.
- Date: Saturday 16 August
- Times: 10:15 am to 11:30 am
