Congratulations to Ava Spencer (8B) and Alyssa Borodin (9W) for their outstanding performance at the Girls 13–15 Years State Secondary School Football Championships in Hervey Bay from 27 to 30 May. After some nail-biting round games, the Metropolitan North team beat the Sunshine Coast 1-0 in the gold-medal match on Sunday. Well done Ava and Alyssa!
Congratulations must also go to Alice Barker (11R, 2021 Football Co-Captain) and Stella Woodford (11M), for competing in the Girls 16–19 Years State Secondary Schools Football Championships, held in challenging conditions in Highfields, Toowoomba, from 13 to 15 May. The Metropolitan North team went on to place fourth after a narrow loss in the bronze-medal match. Well done, Alice and Stella.
