Art opportunities at BGGS—Term 1

Combined Schools (BGGS/BGS) Life Drawing class—with clothed model

Life Drawing of the human figure from a life model is a traditional, academic art activity, that has been a large element in the traditional training of artists in the Western world since the Renaissance. Students will undertake a range of contemporary experimental and traditional approaches.

Date: Thursdays (9, 16, and 23) February and Thursdays (2, 9, 16, and 23) March 2023
Time: 3.30 pm to 5 pm
Venue: BGS Art Department

Art Workshops—Printmaking

Glen Skien, along with Art staff, will facilitate two Printmaking workshops on Tuesday 7 February, and Tuesday 14 February, from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Glen Skien is a printmaking and drawing tutor at Queensland College of Art. He has more than 25 years of experience in the arts industry, and he holds a Masters and a Doctorate in Visual Arts. Glen has facilitated workshops for people of all ages and has exhibited his work widely.

Places are limited to 20 students.
