Grammar Girls Explore the Ancient World

At the end of last year, Year 7 Humanities students inquired into the ancient world by examining artefacts. After the completion of their assignments, students took part in a competition that required them to construct a replica of the ancient artefact they had chosen to study throughout the term. From each Humanities class, one winner was chosen based on the creativity they had shown, how closely they had replicated the original artefact and the sturdiness of their replica.

Congratulations to the class winners:

  • Angelica Ng (8B)
  • Amelia Strotton (8E)
  • Jenna Hilditch (8G)
  • Porsha Nguyen (8R) and Zara Walsh (8R)
  • Aria Lisec (8H)
  • Karla Rimmington (8L)
  • Rachel Zhou (8M)
  • Chelsea Chern (8O) and Cecilia Ragland (8O)
  • Farrah Gresham (8W)

From these class winners, Year 7 Humanities teachers then selected an overall winner. Congratulations to Porsha Nguyen (8R) who was awarded the overall winner.

Hopefully, all students enjoyed their Humanities studies and continue to find learning about the past fascinating.
