Alumnae

BGGS alumnae (Grammar Women) represent a diverse range of backgrounds, professional pathways and life experiences, and are located around the world, creating a global network of personal and professional connections.

Students’ time at the School forms the foundation for a lifetime of connection to Girls Grammar and their fellow past students. Grammar Women are peers and mentors who share common values and support each other in their endeavours.

Connect and Engage

BGGS Alumnae Relations, incorporating the Old Girls Association, provides a framework for past students to maintain, strengthen and develop networks with fellow Grammar Women.

The School facilitates opportunities for alumnae to connect and engage with their peers, mentors and other inspiring leaders through a variety of events, activities and initiatives each year. Forthcoming events are detailed at the bottom of this page.

Grammar Women Reunions

The School works with past students to support Grammar Women Reunions, which are held each year to celebrate 5-year reunions, 10-year reunions, and each subsequent 10-year milestone.

The Alumnae Relations Team is available to assist past students in organising their reunions.

A list of dates for upcoming Grammar Women events, including reunions, is below.

Young Grammar Women

Grammar Women, aged 30 and under, are the next generation of leaders and game changers. We are proud to support our Grammar Women on their alumnae journey and facilitate opportunities to connect with other past students at similar stages of life.

While some recent graduates return to the School to coach sporting teams or assist with other co-curricular activities, there are other ways to strengthen and leverage your connection with Girls Grammar.

Grammar Women: Leaders and Game Changers

The Grammar Women: Leaders and Game Changers Series provides an opportunity for alumnae to connect professionally and socially, and hear from innovative past students who are driving change in a wide variety of professional fields.

Our next networking and professional development event will be held later in 2023.

Old Girls Association

The Old Girls Association links the past and present, honouring the School’s traditions and connecting our past students with our current students.

There are no membership fees—graduating students automatically become lifetime members of the OGA, and are welcome to return to the School at any time.

With its extensive history, the OGA plays a fundamental role in preserving and enriching the traditions and culture of the School for all generations of Grammar Women.

Bishbar Blue E-Newsletter

Launched in 2020, Bishbar Blue is our alumnae newsletter, circulated to all past students. It shares stories of our diverse alumnae and in each edition you will find moments of interest, inspiration, optimism, and a little humour.

Please let us know if there are any topics you would like to see featured, or if there are any past students you think we should consider profiling in future editions.
