The School is pleased to announce that the 2020 Grammar Dance Program will commence in Term 3. Grammar Dance is a co-curricular club open to all students with a dance background from Years 7 to 12. This year BGGS is offering two strands within the Program: a Senior Dance Troupe and the Grammar Dance Club.
We are delighted to announce choreographer, Ondreea Kitching will oversee the Program in 2020.
This year’s Grammar Dance Program offers exciting opportunities for dance students interested in extending their dance skills and passion for performing.
Senior Dance Troupe
The Grammar Dance Senior Dance Troupe is open to students in Years 10 to 12 with extensive dance experience.
Students are required to attend one morning session a week where they will work alongside our Lead Choreographer to devise performances drawing upon various dance styles.
To join this troupe, students are required to attend two audition sessions in Week 1 and Week 2 of Term 3. The Senior Dance Troupe will be a premiere performance group rehearsing for showcases at school events.
Auditions
Date: Term 3 (Week 1, Friday 17 July, Week 2, Friday 24 July)
Time: 7 am to 8 am

Attire: Dance attire

- A routine will be taught and the audition involves girls performing choreography individually
- This troupe will be held on Friday mornings.
Dance Club
The Grammar Dance Club is open to students in Years 7 to 12 with dance experience.
Our Lead Choreographer and Dance Tutor will lead this fun dance club. It is a great opportunity for dancers to share their interest and skills in a social and non-competitive setting.
Students are required to attend one morning session a week where they will focus on building their dancing skills by learning various routines.
To be a part of this club students with a dance background are invited to attend two tryout sessions in Week 1 and Week 2 of Term 3.
