Instrumental Music Update

A big congratulations to Bartok Strings, who competed at the Queensland Youth Music Awards on Friday night. The ensemble was up against stiff competition, but their hard work perfecting ensemble intonation, rhythm and dynamics paid off—they won first place and received a Gold Award for their efforts.

Represented by concertmaster Charis Tran (9H) and double bassist Olivia Stanton (9H), the ensemble accepted the award from distinguished adjudicator, Adam Chalabi, Associate Professor of Violin at The University of Queensland.

Well done, Bartok Strings!
