Parents and supporters are invited to attend the Brisbane Girls Grammar School Interhouse Athletics Carnival on Tuesday 9 August 2022.
The Athletics Carnival is a whole-school event, and students are expected to attend as they would any other school day. It presents an opportunity for girls to participate for their House Group.
Girls wishing to be selected for the BGGS Athletics Team must compete on the day to have their performance against their peers recorded. Those selected for the Athletics Team will represent the School at the QGSSSA Athletics Championships on Thursday 15 September 2022.
Prior to the Carnival, the annual 3000 m track race will be held at the Gregory Terrace Playing Fields, Gilchrist Avenue on Tuesday 2 August. Competitors and staff will walk together to the course, departing from the Sports Centre at 6.20 am. The race will commence at 7 am sharp. At the event’s conclusion, competitors will walk back to the School under the supervision of staff.
