Service Awards

Grammar girls have been recognised for their leadership, teamwork and citizenship skills. Last week at Assembly, Emily Bowden (12M), Victoria Hogan (12W) and Jessica McLeod (12M) received Certificates of Community Service and Citizenship on behalf of the Queensland Branch of The Order of Australia Association. This award acknowledges outstanding service to the School and community and the fine role models that these students are to their peers, and the people who benefit from their citizenship activities.

The Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award was presented to Jillian Campbell (10O) and Piper Van Der Westhuizen (12O). Presented on behalf of the Australian Defence Force, this award encourages the development of behaviours and attributes considered critical in Australia’s leaders of tomorrow. This award recognises students who demonstrate strong values such as doing one’s best, respect for others and communication skills. Congratulations, girls.
