This week’s ENGAGE highlight
Join the Term 1 Art Café
The Art Café is an informal evening open to all members of the School community including past, present and future parents, alumnae, students and friends. The evening provides the opportunity to meet with a guest speaker from the art world and engage in interesting discussions.
This term’s speaker is Ms Lorraine Thornquist—Collections Manager, Brisbane Girls Grammar School. Ms Thornquist has worked tirelessly in recent years to not only curate our extensive collection but to cultivate relationships with past students who are now artists. As a past student herself, and a professional guide at QAG/GOMA, Ms Thornquist brings a unique understanding of Art at BGGS and its place in our School’s history. The evening will involve a highlights tour of the School collection, real and virtual, and the launch of an exciting digital project.
