Semester 2 2021

It has been an exciting end to the academic year at Brisbane Girls Grammar School. We celebrated many milestones and important traditions, including the Annual Speech Day and Distribution of Prizes Ceremony, where we acknowledge students’ academic, sporting and cultural achievements.

This time of the year is always a somewhat bittersweet transition for our students as they enter holidays—our incoming Year 7 students are eagerly awaiting their start in secondary school—no doubt a little nervous—our current Year 7s are delighted to no longer be the youngest in the School, our Year 11s are finding their feet as our new student leaders, and our Year 12 girls have become Grammar Women.

While 2021 saw another year of pandemic-related disruptions, Brisbane Girls Grammar School has adjusted to the many changes required, and most importantly, done so with a sense of optimism. We feel well prepared for whatever challenges 2022 may bring.

I hope you enjoy reading the stories contained in this newsletter and wish you and your family a safe and peaceful festive season.
