You are invited to Abigail’s Coven

What happened to Abigail?

The Drama Department is delighted to invite you to the 2022 Senior Drama Production, Abigail’s Coven. Witness the events from Arthur Miller’s The Crucible through the point-of-view of the manipulative Abigail Williams as she bands her ‘coven’ against the townsfolk of Salem.

An ensemble-based play, Abigail’s Coven reaches our audience with lessons around guilt, lies, and peer pressure—all while offering a fictional account of historical events from the 1692 Salem witch trials. Abigail will try anything to deflect the guilt from her persistent lies and manipulation:

‘Hold them back John … they’re after me, John, suffocating me … tell them it wasn’t my fault John … tell them it was the others … they’ll listen to you John … you’re a good man John … tell them it was the others … they made me!’

With design work (lighting and sound) created by talented guest artists, Mr Jeremy Gordon and Ms Isabella Hall—and directed by Mr Ben Dervish-Ali—this year’s epic conclusion to Arts Fest will be a wicked treat.

Join the Senior Drama students in the forest where all the hysteria began, those centuries ago … staged in the Gehrmann Theatre on May 12, 13, 14 at 6.30 pm.

Hurry! Ticket sales are selling fast! This play is not for the faint-hearted, age 12+ is recommended.
