Next Thursday 19 November at 2 pm, the School will be holding its Annual Speech Day and Distribution of Prizes.
On Speech Day, there are no scheduled lessons and all students are requested to make their own way to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank, at the following times:
- 7 am—all Musicians arrive (Rehearsal)
- 10.45 am—all Prize Winners (Rehearsal)
- 12.15 pm—Year 11 Ushers
- 12.45 pm—all other students
Precise instructions will be given to students regarding reporting to House Group Teachers at appropriate times and it is important that girls are punctual. Girls will be assigned specific seating in their Year levels for the ceremony, which is scheduled to conclude shortly after 4 pm.
Students are expected to be well groomed and to exhibit exemplary behaviour. Only permitted jewellery and correct badges are to be worn, together with blue ribbons, stockings and well-polished shoes. Girls should also wear hats. No school bags should be taken to the ceremony. Students are asked to avoid wandering around the city, including Queen Street Mall or South Bank prior to attending the Convention Centre.
