This semester, the School is introducing an exciting opportunity for a small group of Year 10 and Year 11 students to participate in a Mentoring Program. The Grammar Women—Grammar Girls Mentoring Program brings together BGGS young alumnae and current BGGS students for a tailored holistic, career-focused mentoring relationship over the course of one academic semester.
Alumnae peer mentors (graduates from 2014-2018) will guide students in setting and working towards academic, personal and post-secondary study goals, providing insights and guidance to support their mentees in their final years of secondary school, and beyond. The School will match small groups of students (2-3 per group) with a suitable alumna mentor based on relevant interests and experience.
Commitments:
- Four meetings during a Semester (two meetings per term)
- Dates: Thursday 18 February; Tuesday 30 March; Tuesday 27 April; Thursday 20 May (you must commit to being available for all four meetings)
- Meetings occur at School from 5.30 pm to 7 pm (refreshments will be provided)
If you are interested in being involved, please complete and submit the Student Questionnaire by 3.20 pm on Monday 1 February. Numbers are limited as this is a Pilot Program.
If you have any questions about the Program, please do not hesitate to contact Head of Mackay House, Ms Ruth Jans.
