Evening Study Program and Sunday Study Sessions

The School will continue to offer the Evening Study Program in Term 2 for Years 10, 11 and 12 students, commencing Wednesday 28 April.

The Program allows students to complete homework and assessment preparation within a supervised environment at the School. It is held in the Elizabeth Jameson Research Learning Centre from 5 pm to 8 pm each Monday and Wednesday evening, with dinner from 6 pm to 6.30 pm. Students are supervised by an experienced Girls Grammar staff member, who is assisted by study supervisors.

Parents who wish their daughter to attend the Program in Term 2 are asked to complete the online form by Wednesday 21 April. If your daughter participated in the Program during Term 1 and wishes to continue in Term 2, you will need to complete a new confirmation form.

Students can enrol for either one or both evenings; however bookings must be made for the entire term—girls cannot change their scheduled evening of attendance during the term.

Attendance at the Evening Study Program will incur a cost of $50 per evening, which will be added automatically to the student’s School Fees Account. The Program will not operate on public holidays or student-free days, and parents will not be charged for these days. Refunds are not available should a student not attend her scheduled session.

Further information about the Evening Study Program is available on Minerva.

Sunday Study Sessions

To assist girls with homework completion and assessment preparation, the School will open the Elizabeth Jameson Research Learning Centre on Sundays during Term 2 for students in Years 10, 11 and 12.

The library will be open from 9 am to 4 pm, and girls can arrive and depart in their own time.

Students are supervised by a BGGS staff member who will only act in a supervisory capacity; no tutoring is available on a Sunday. Students must also sign in and out with a BGGS staff member.

Food and refreshments will not be provided; girls are encouraged to bring their own snacks and water bottle. Please note, there is no fee to attend the Sunday study sessions.

Further information about the study sessions is available on Minerva.
