Events Update

Following the Federal and State Government announcements on Friday 8 May, outlining stages for easing of social distancing restrictions, the School has reviewed its Term 2 events calendar.

A brief summary of the staged event restrictions advised by the Queensland Government is outlined below. Please note, these dates are a guide only and the government will continue to review COVID-19 developments to determine if the next stage will be implemented.

School events must align with physical distancing requirements, including an allowance of four square metres per person in an indoor venue, and increased cleaning and hygiene protocols outlined by the Chief Health Officer.

The School continues to monitor the Government’s advice around gatherings to determine the best approach for events scheduled for the remainder of the year.

While it is deeply upsetting that some events need to be postponed or delivered in different ways, the health and wellbeing of BGGS students, staff and families will always be our highest priority.

Please note, the dates listed under Postponed Events are the original event dates. New dates will be advised by the School as soon as it is possible to do so.
