Open Day 2021

Please note: the School is following Queensland Health guidelines and advice closely, noting today’s developments and will be in touch with all BGGS families if there is any change to our Open Day plans.

The 2021 Open Day Program and Map is available to download for families to plan their evening.

Activities this year include:

• student-led tours of the campus, including the School’s new Science Learning Centre
• information Sessions with Principal, Ms Jacinda Euler, and Walking in their Shoes (Year 7 Experience)
• music and drama performances
• sports displays and demonstrations
• academic displays and activities.

Food and refreshments

There will be plenty of delicious food and drinks available for purchase. The School’s Parent Support Groups will host the always popular BBQ and baked treats stalls, while House Groups will offer hot food, treats, sweets, salads and more. Cashless payments are preferred, but cash will be accepted at most stalls.

Parking

Parking will be very limited, so we encourage our School community to consider the use of public transport, including the free City to Spring Hill loop service.

Parking options near the School include:

• metered street parking
• Roma Street Parkland car parks
• Wilson, Secure, and other paid parking in Spring Hill.

Limited parking will be available on the Brisbane Grammar School oval from 4.30 pm (please refer to the map inside the program) for details.

COVIDSafe Requirements

Girls Grammar continues to follow the advice of health authorities about COVID-19 restrictions.

All guests will need to check in to Open Day using the Check in Qld QR code, which will be available at entries to the School. Current students do not need to check in.

Please ensure you, and anyone in your family aged 12 and over, wear a mask while attending Open Day. Please also make use of hand sanitiser, which will be available across the campus.

We look forward to seeing you tonight!
