Final Day for Year 12 Students

Today, the School farewelled the Brisbane Girls Grammar School Class of 2019. In their final days at the School, Year 12 girls were encouraged to reflect on their time at Girls Grammar. Many of the girls shared their feelings of gratitude for their time at the School, as well as excitement for their future plans.

A collection of their reflections were shown at the Valedictory Dinner on Wednesday night, with some of their responses below.

‘I am grateful for the person Girls Grammar has made me—strong, independent, mature and brave. I cannot wait for what life will bring and has to offer.’

‘The excitement I feel about leaving and the lack of nervousness has stemmed from the support and experiences at BGGS. I hope to leave behind a legacy of inclusion and as a cohort, our support of each other.’

‘I am proud of what I’ve achieved and who I’ve become this year. With a greater sense of maturity and clarity, I am sad but ready to leave BGGS.’

‘I am grateful that Girls Grammar has provided me with the opportunity to be unconditionally myself.’

‘From my Girls Grammar experience, I will take many things with me into the next stages of life—confidence, friendship, love, pride, work ethic and respect. I am so grateful for the people that have allowed me to flourish at BGGS—peers, teachers, other staff.’

The School wishes the Class of 2019 every success as they pursue challenging and rewarding pathways.
