As communicated with families in late 2021, BGGS and BGS have collaborated to investigate alternative transport options, including a Grammar Bus, to reduce traffic congestion within our Spring Hill community.
As a result of this work, which included feedback from our parent communities, BGGS and BGS will launch a Grammar Bus Pilot in Term 2. This joint bus service will offer two routes—from Ashgrove and Clayfield—and will operate in the morning and afternoons.
The cost will be a subsidised flat fee of $3.50 per trip ($7 return). Students will use a tap-on system when boarding the bus, using their FlexiSchools card.
The success of this pilot will help inform whether the Schools will adopt a permanent bus service, with the potential to expand bus routes in the future.
The Schools will email parents a link to register for this new bus service early next week. This email will include further information about routes, and links to FAQs for parents.
