Grammar Women–Grammar Girls Mentoring Program Expression of Interest

Brisbane Girls Grammar School will again run the Mentor Program in 2022, starting Thursday 17 February. This semester, the opportunity to be involved is available only to a small group of Year 11 students. The program brings together BGGS young alumnae and current Year 11 students for a tailored holistic, career-focused mentoring relationship over the course of one academic semester.

Alumnae peer mentors (graduates from 2014-2019) will guide students in setting and working towards academic, personal and post-secondary study goals, providing insights and guidance to support their mentees in their final years in secondary school and beyond. The School will match small groups of students (one to two per group) with a suitable alumna mentor based on relevant interests and experience.

Commitments:

  • four meetings during a semester (two meetings per term)
  • dates: Thursday 17 February; Tuesday 29 March; Thursday 21 April; Tuesday 14 June
  • you must commit to being available for all four meetings.

Meetings occur at School from 5.30 pm to 7 pm (refreshments provided).

If you are interested in being involved, please complete the Student Questionnaire by 3.20 pm on Monday 7 February. The Questionnaire will be available on Minerva from today. Numbers are limited, so please ensure you don’t miss the deadline.
