The hockey pre-season has started with a bang. Girls have participated in trials and training all term and are excited to start playing games. Due to the floods, we have only recently been back to our home fields at Rangakarra; however, the girls quickly adapted to the temporary fields and have shown a lot of team spirit.
A huge congratulations to Ellie Kendall (10G), who won gold at the under 18 Australian Championships, along with current Coach and alumna, Freya Horton (2021). Additionally, Ellie has also been selected into the Queensland School Sport 13 – 19 years girls Hockey team, and will compete later this year.
It is looking like a promising season ahead and we look forward to the commencement of the competition at the beginning of Term 3.
