With school holidays fast approaching, families are reminded of the necessary requirements to be considered when crossing state borders. Queensland travellers are strongly encouraged to apply for a ‘Queensland Entry Pass’ to avoid any issues or delays upon entry or crossing the border upon their return. Specific requirements to travel can be found on the Queensland Government’s website.
Rules for self-quarantine are as follows:
- If you are a Queensland resident returning to Queensland from overseas, you must self-quarantine for 14 days.
- If you are a Queensland resident returning from any other place in Australia that is not a declared COVID-19 hotspot, you do not have to self-quarantine.
- If you are a Queensland resident returning from a declared COVID-19 hotspot, you must self-quarantine for 14 days.
