The School’s new Learning Management System, Minerva

BGGS students and staff are now using the School’s new learning management system, Minerva, which replaces the previous system, Moodle. Students have access to curricular and co-curricular content on Minerva, including course pages for classes, their timetables, assessment information, and School email, news and events.

While students will access Minerva every day to support their learning, at this stage, all information for parents will remain on Parent Portal. This is to allow a gradual transfer of content from Parent Portal to Minerva over the course of this year.

In a few instances, parents will be seamlessly directed from Parent Portal via a link to view content in Minerva. In Term 1, this will only apply to Assessment. To view their daughter’s assessment results, parents will enter Parent Portal and be directed via a link to the Assessment section in Minerva. From 28 February, parents will also be able to access Assessment via the updated School App.

Once in Minerva, parents are welcome to explore the new platform, however, please be aware it is a ‘work in progress’ and not all parent information is currently available here. Parent Portal remains the source of truth for parents during 2020 as the School focuses on establishing Minerva as its primary teaching and learning platform for students and staff.

By the start of 2021, parents will have full access to Minerva, which will replace Parent Portal.
