Earlier this month, a team of five Year 10 girls represented BGGS at the Northern NSW and Queensland Interschools Snowsport Championships, held in Thredbo.
There were 621 competitors from 93 schools, competing across several snow sport disciplines at the championships.
We are thrilled to announce our BGGS team came away with eight medals: four Gold; three Silver; and one Bronze.
Individual medallists were:
Sophia Bizzell (10R): Gold Moguls, Silver Alpine, Silver Skier Cross
Astrid Coates (10L): Gold Skier Cross, Bronze Alpine
Molly Miller (10W): Silver Moguls
The BGGS team also received two Team Gold medals:
Alpine: (Sophia Bizzell, Astrid Coates, Scarlett Bennett (10L), and Molly Miller)
Skier Cross: (Sophia Bizzell, Scarlett Bennett, and Molly Miller).
Based on the results at the championships, Sophia Bizzell and Astrid Coates have been invited to compete at the Australian Championships to be held at Perisher in September. We wish them all the best!
