Learn about Mindfulness and Yoga

Brisbane Girls Grammar School invites our community to learn about Mindfulness and Yoga in a half-day workshop for parents.

Scholarly research finds that mindfulness practice reduces stress and anxiety, increases attention, improves emotional regulation and develops greater self-compassion. The benefits of yoga range from calming the mind to strengthening the body.

Hosted by BGGS Mindfulness Facilitator and Head of Visual Art, Mr Donald Pincott, the workshop is an opportunity for parents to better understand mindfulness and learn techniques for personal practise. It will include mindfulness activities, breathing exercises, yoga and meditation, and is suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners.

There are only 20 places available, so booking is essential. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat, a handtowel, a cushion or kneeler for meditation and a water bottle. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
