News from the Japanese Classroom

Congratulations to Vani Ranjan (9G), who successfully completed the Level 10 Kanji Kentei (Japanese Kanji Character Aptitude Test).

The study of Kanji requires an understanding of stroke orders for writing, opposites, radicals, homophones, variant readings and, finally, uniformed Kanji writing.

The Level 10 Kanji test requires students to demonstrate superb knowledge and understanding of nearly 100 Kanji characters. Native speakers in Japan also take the same exams to evaluate their knowledge and understanding of Kanji.

Vani has worked incredibly hard beyond the classroom to obtain the Level 10 certificate. This is well deserved, and we sincerely congratulate Vani on this achievement.
