Second Chance

Second Chance is once again turning the Library into a Christmas wonderland, ready to be filled with your generosity. The Service Group is collecting gifts to donate to women and children experiencing homelessness around Brisbane this Christmas.

Christmas is a time when many are unable to afford even basic living essentials, and it is a great opportunity to spread Christmas cheer by gifting them a gift they couldn’t normally afford. We often take for granted the experiences and traditions of the festive season, and the Giving Tree raises awareness about the struggles faced by others in our community who are less fortunate.

If you haven’t done so already, head to the RLC foyer (near the Grand Staircase) to collect a tag. Please write your name on the poster, so no tags/gifts get lost. Once you have collected a tag, purchase a gift, then return it to the Library by Friday of Week 6. Please leave the gift unwrapped but place it in a gift bag, with the tag securely attached.

Thank you to everyone who has already collected a tag and returned their gifts—we look forward to seeing the foyer overflowing with your Christmas spirit and generosity.
