Steptember

This month, Brisbane Girls Grammar School is participating in Steptember, an annual charity event organised by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance that challenges participants to take 10 000 steps a day for 28 days to raise awareness and funds for cerebral palsy.

In Australia there are more than 34 000 people with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is a physical disability that affects one’s movement and posture. People with cerebral palsy may have a range of physical cognitive impairments including the inability to walk or talk, vision impairment, sleep disorder and intellectual impairment.

The funds raised from Steptember will provide vital equipment, therapy and services to children and adults living with cerebral palsy.

Already, the School’s 92 teams have raised $11 850 for this worthy cause. Thank you to the members of the Girls Grammar community for their support of students and staff.
