BGGS Water Polo is now preparing for the upcoming season and students are invited to register their interest to trial via Minerva. Registrations for Water Polo trials will close on Monday 2 August. Students who are new to the sport, or would like to refresh their skills, will have the opportunity to participate in some introductory sessions and Swim for Polo this term.
BGGS Water Polo teams play in the Brisbane Water Polo Incorporated (BWPI) summer competition on Saturdays in Term 4 and Term 1. Fixtures take place in a variety of venues across Brisbane (Valley Pool, All Hallows, Somerville House, Stuartholme, St Rita’s) and usually begin at 8 am and conclude at approximately 5 pm.
Students selected in a BGGS team will have the opportunity to develop their skills with support from experienced coaching staff, attend competitions external to the BWPI competition across the school holiday break, and participate in development opportunities.
Water Polo trials will take place at the BGGS pool and Brisbane Grammar School Pool on the following days:
