Last week, the Year 12 girls gathered at Brisbane City Hall for the 2022 Year 12 Formal Dinner.
The formal was themed ‘Met Gala’, and City Hall was glamorously lit with Grammar blue to celebrate the event. On arrival, students and their dates walked the red carpet to the sound of the BGGS String Quartet in the foyer. Everyone experienced their ‘moment of fame’ as they were photographed on the grand staircase. Doors opened to the main auditorium to tables that were decorated in red and white, while the ceiling was illuminated pink. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal, took House photos, then hit the dance floor.
The night was highly anticipated among the cohort, and the Formal Committee greatly appreciated the Year 12 cohort for placing their trust in us to plan the evening, which truly surpassed everyone’s expectations. The Year 11 Social Committee was thanked for their assistance in preparing for the event and Ms Boyle, Ms Thomas, and Ms Waters had everyone’s deepest gratitude for all their help through the long planning process. This ephemeral experience was unforgettable, and we are full of excitement for the upcoming events this year.
