Year 9 Music has been filled with fun and excitement in 2021 and this semester was no exception as we delved into the world of musical theatre. We recreated performances of our favourite musical theatre songs from Hairspray, High School Musical, and The Greatest Showman, workshopped our performances with a professional musical theatre performer and experienced a professional recording session in the Gehrmann Theatre. A highlight of the unit was attending a live performance of Grease by the Conservatorium Musical Theatre students from Griffith University at QPAC last night. This unit has been a particularly enjoyable experience and we are looking forward to the Music Showcase to finish off the year!
