Past student tops her class at UC, Berkeley

Isabella LinIsabella Lin (2013) has been awarded the Edward M. Blount Award for the Division of Genetics, Genomics and Development from the University of California (UC), Berkeley.

The Edward M. Blount Award recognises academic excellence and is awarded to the student who has the highest academic achievement based on their major and cumulative grade point averages.

Isabella studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at UC Berkeley.

During her years at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, Isabella regularly took part in external competitions such as the Australian Mathematics Competition and the Australian National Chemistry Quiz.

She was a well-rounded student at Girls Grammar, participating in Instrumental Music and rock-climbing, and dedicating her time to service activities such as the Kirsten Jack Memorial Leukaemia Committee, the Second Chance Committee and Interact.
