BGGS Tops the State in NAPLAN

Brisbane Girls Grammar School has been ranked Queensland’s top-performing secondary school in this year’s NAPLAN tests, continuing the School’s history of consistently strong results.

Principal, Ms Jacinda Euler, said the key elements of the girls’ high-performance in NAPLAN and other academic results were developing a love of learning and the ability to think critically.

‘As an academically non-selective school that awards no scholarships, these results highlight the expertise and care of our teachers and the positive learning environment at Girls Grammar.

‘Our girls are taught to think deeply and to think for themselves, and this is reflected not only in their NAPLAN results, but also in how they learn and respond to the world in which they live.

‘NAPLAN results capture just one aspect of each student’s academic performance against their national peers, and should be considered alongside other forms of school-based assessment to get a balanced view of their progress,’ Ms Euler said.

Congratulations to Year 7 and 9 Grammar girls on their excellent NAPLAN results.
