The Gift of Education is a Gift for Life

Education has the power to change lives. To continue to empower young women to become the citizens our communities need to thrive, we are seeking your support.

Girls Grammar was founded on philanthropy 145 years ago and since then, each generation has benefited from the generosity of those who went before. This year, we ask you—should you be in a position to do so—to please consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Girls Grammar Bursary Fund or Building Fund. You can read more information about these important priorities below.

Every donation of every size makes a difference, now and in the future.

Create Opportunities

In the past few years, with philanthropic support, Girls Grammar has worked to establish a sustainable needs-based Bursary Fund to provide access to a Girls Grammar education for girls whose parents would not otherwise have the financial means to provide their daughter with that experience.

Three students are currently receiving bursary support—as one of Australia’s leading girls’ school, growing the BGGS Bursary program is an important priority. Your donation to the Bursary Fund will take us closer to supporting new bursary recipients throughout their schooling, providing a life-changing opportunity to a girl who would otherwise not have access to a Girls Grammar education.

To make a gift, please visit the Bursaries page on the School’s website.

Support the Future of Science

The new Science Learning Centre will transform science education at Girls Grammar, replacing facilities built in the 1930s and renovated in the 1960s. A Wall of Thanks, in the form of the Periodic Table, will be located in the new building. Earlier this year, students in each of the School’s nine Houses voted to choose an element to signify their House. Alumnae can contribute a gift of any size and nominate their chosen House to support. House pride is on the line! Your donation to the Building Fund will support this major science project.

To find out more, please visit the House Giving page online.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far this year and to those who are donating for the first time.
