All in Blue Donation Drive

The Uralla Club, Second Chance Committee and Gibson House are combining their efforts to support charities currently seeking donations, through an ‘All in Blue Donation Drive’.

The Uralla Club is collecting the following items for the Indigenous Unit at Queensland Children’s Hospital: clothing for all sizes—baby, children, adolescents and adults—and hygiene products including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. To organise the hygiene packages, we’re also seeking shoe boxes.

Second Chance welcomes donations of Coles and Woolworths vouchers, winter linen and clothes, board games, craft supplies, as well as colouring-in books for women and children experiencing homelessness. These donations will accompany the proceeds of the committee’s recent fundraising events and will be distributed to the Second Chance Program, Zig Zag Young Women’s Resource Centre, Bahloo Womens’ Youth Shelter and Cherish Women’s Cancer Foundation.

Gibson House will use the donation drive to support their House Charity, The Romero Centre. The Romero Centre have requested donations of washing powder, coffee, cooking oil, honey and spices.

All donations can be left in the Annie Mackay Room. Thank you to those who have already contributed to the drive. Donations will be accepted until Friday 12 June, with delivery to the charities planned for the final week of Term 2.

All in blue, we’re here for you.
