Second Chance and Uralla Club Donations

The School’s Second Chance Committee is holding its annual toiletry drive in conjunction with the Uralla Club to support people experiencing homelessness in Brisbane.

During Week 6 and Week 7, please leave toiletry donations in the boxes in the Annie Mackay Room. These items will be donated to indigenous women at children’s hospitals who often have to travel from rural communities with little notice, and therefore do not have access to basic conveniences.

Not-for-profit organisations, such as Second Chance Programme Fundraising Group, bring together businesses and community groups to offer services to people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

What to bring: Toothbrushes and toothpaste; hand cream; razors; baby wipes; hair brushes/ties; toiletry bags/pouches; shampoo and conditioner; soap and body wash; sanitary items; moisturiser; sunscreen; hand sanitiser and deodorant. Please note: the Uralla Club would appreciate travel-sized toiletries and Second Chance will collect full-sized items.

When: Week 6 and 7 (Monday 20 May to Friday 7 June).

Where: Please place items in the appropriately labelled boxes in the Annie Mackay Room.

We would appreciate it if you could add some of these items to your trolley and bring them in soon. On behalf of Second Chance and Uralla, we thank you for your continued support and we look forward to receiving your donations in the coming weeks.
