Cross Country Update

Attendance at training has been high and girls have embraced this year’s Cross Country motto, ‘Run as a Team in 2019’. The commitment and hard work of the squad has been infectious, pushing each runner to reach their potential at every training session.

This year, Mr Tim Franklin joins the School as Cross Country Head Coach. Mr Franklin has experience competing in and coaching running, triathlon and endurance multisport events. He will be supported by Assistant Coaches, Mrs Nadine Cameron, Mrs Patricia Greenland, Miss Meg Henderson (2017), Ms Stephanie Johnson, Miss Eugenie MacMillan (2017), Mr Elliot McGarry, Miss Erica Schmelzer (2016) and Miss Phillipa Taylor (2017).

Congratulations to Eliza Baulch (12L) and Isabella Murdoch (12E) who were selected as this year’s Cross Country Captains. Eliza and Isabella have been heavily involved in Girls Grammar Cross Country since Year 8 and I have no doubt they will lead the girls in another successful season.
