Last weekend, nine Girls Grammar athletes travelled to Cairns to represent Metropolitan North at the Queensland School Sport 13-19 Years State Championships. Well done to Lucy Vaughan (8O), Obianuju Ekeocha (9W), Alessandria-Jayde Tucker (9H), Jade Somerville (9G), Annabelle Hill (10B), Isabel Lumley (10M) and Madeline Clark (12E) whose performances throughout the competition were some of their season and personal bests.
Congratulations to Amelia Hunt (9O), AJ Tucker (9H) and Elizabeth Moss (12E) who have been selected to represent Queensland at the 2019 Australian All Schools Championship in Perth from Friday 6 December to Sunday 8 December. Amelia will compete in the Under 16 Girls 2000m Steeplechase event, AJ will compete in the Under 16 Hurdles event and Elizabeth will compete in the Under 18 Girls High Jump event. We wish these girls all the best in their training leading up to the competition.
