Senior Softball season in full swing

We are happy to report that the 2022 Softball (Senior) season is in full swing.

Since Term 4 last year, the senior divisions have been preparing for the start of QGSSSA fixtures. Although the first round was delayed due to COVID-19, every player brought their A-game to the diamond and played some brilliant Softball at our first fixture on Saturday.

This year, we are fielding a dominant Open team and two very strong Senior A teams. These two Senior A teams went up against each other for the first game of the season, with the Senior Ai team taking the win. Both teams went on to win their second games. The Open team started with practice games in round one and are now firing for their first official games this Saturday.

This year, as Captains, we wish to amplify the energy that every girl brings to training and games and encourage more students to pick up the sport of Softball.

For those Year 7 to 9 students who are eager to play, don’t worry, your turn will arrive in Term 3 and 4 this year.

We are looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season will bring and hope to see some of you at Downey Park this Saturday, cheering us on.
