Sports Update

There are a number of updates for Sport this week. Please continue to monitor Minerva for the latest announcements.

QGSSSA Sport

The Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sporting Association (QGSSSA) continues to monitor and respond to the COVID-19 health pandemic in line with the Queensland Government Health directives.

QGSSSA has confirmed that Rounds 5 and 6 of QGSSSA Winter Fixtures will be deemed ‘abandoned rounds’ and will not be rescheduled. We will play our next round away against St Aidan’s on Saturday 28 August.

QGSSSA Rhythmic Gymnastics will be on Wednesday, 1 September. The venue will be confirmed shortly.

The School looks forward to welcoming students back to Winter Fixtures at the discretion of Queensland Health in line with the health directives and relevant restrictions.

BSRA Rowing and Training update

The BSRA Board has decided to re-schedule the Head of the River to Sunday 5 September 2021 with a lead-up regatta hosted by Stuartholme on Saturday 28 August.

Rowing training will recommence at the shed on Saturday following the usual format of a Saturday training day.

Other Sports Training

Training may recommence for all Sports next week and follow the usual Term 3 timetable. Girls should still carry masks with them to training venues.
