As the Water Polo season is truly underway, the girls are preparing for the Brisbane Water Polo Inc. (BWPI) Competition, to begin the first week of Term 4.
In preparation for the season, and support of this year’s STEPtember campaign, several students participated in the first annual Water Polo Swimathon.
The event was heaps of fun, with all students participating successfully and completing their chosen distances. Special mention should go to the students who decided to swim 10 km as a team—Harriet Morton (10M), Elise Ridoutt (10E), Isabelle Bamber (10O), Malee Ellis (10L), Esther McDade (10H), Charlotte McDade (9H), Caitlin Small (9R) and Ella Coltzau (10R). Brilliant work, girls! Students who participated in the Swimathon raised an impressive $2,230 to go towards research and support of those with cerebral palsy. An outstanding effort for a very worthy cause.
