Chartwells will manage the School’s cafés, Tucker Up and Tucker Down, as well as catering options for the School’s community events and co-curricular programs such as the Evening Study Program.
Chartwells brings a wealth of experience in school catering, and provide catering in many independent schools across South-East Queensland, and Australia. Their philosophy focuses on ‘smart food’, providing size, time, and age-appropriate menus, while using high-quality, seasonal produce and maintaining nutritional value.
The School has communicated with Chartwells about student food allergies and dietary considerations, and Chartwells have committed to providing food options that reflect all students’ needs. If parents would like to discuss their daughters’ specific requirements, please email Dean of Students, Mrs Emma Lowry via elowry@bggs.qld.edu.au.
Students can continue to pay for food using cash, credit or debit cards, or their Flexischools account. To view the weekly menu and find more information, please view the ‘Café Menu’ tile on Minerva.
